In the Ditch

“Though my problems are meaningless that don’t make ’em go away”- Neil Young, On the Beach

Smack in the middle of the Ditch trilogy and a seminal record in a decade full of ’em.

I could write a thesis on this record but rather than bore you let me just say it’s the soundtrack to the hangover from the highs of the decade that came before it.

When the drugs just don’t work any longer and the true love you thought you found was just a one night stand.

The scab you scratch may be your own and leave you a bloody mess.

But Neil is there and there ain’t nuthin’ like a friend to tell you you’re just pissin’ in the wind.
